Australia's Alex Carey led the side's fightback from the front in the AUS vs WI 2nd Test as he scored a blistering 38-ball fifty

AUS vs WI: Carey scores 38-ball fifty

Carey had a lucky escape against West Indies pacer Shamar Joseph after a delivery failed to dislodge the bails despite the ball brushing past it. Carey would have been the visitors’ sixth victim in the 1st innings as Australia lost a flurry of wickets in the AUS vs WI 2nd Test.

After getting rid of the West Indies for 311 runs in the 1st innings of the AUS vs WI 2nd Test, the hosts got off to a scary start, suffering a top-order collapse barring Usman Khawaja. Steve Smith’s misery as the side’s new opener continued as he departed for yet another single digit score.

A fiery Kemar Roach was instrumental in sending half of the side back to the pavilion as he grabbed three wickets. Alzarri Joseph joined the fray, scalping a couple of wickets, as Australia struggled to get going against the Windies.
