Bowling has been very ordinary: Former India cricketer criticises sub par bowling of England in IND vs ENG Test

IND vs ENG Test: Aakash Chopra slams England Spinners for being ordinary in IND vs ENG 1st Test

The England Cricket Team fumbled with the bat against India in IND vs ENG 1st Test. The same were their approach with the ball. Despite playing 3 spinners, the Indian batters hammered the English spinners. Aakash Chopra has gone on to criticise England’s bowling approach claiming them to be ‘ordinary’.

The only wicket which England managed was the wicket of Rohit Sharma. That too happened when Rohit went on to play a rash shot and squandered his wicket. Apart from that, Yashasvi Jaiswal hammered the English spinners with his hard hitting game style.

“England will have to work a lot if they have to take this game to Day 4. Their bowling has been very ordinary. No one was able to pitch the ball in the right zones, neither were they able to release their deliveries properly. Leaving Jack Leach aside, the spin department looked extremely ordinary,” Aakash Chopra said on his YouTube Channel.

The former India Cricketer, Aakash Chopra claimed that the wicket is spinner friendly but not a rank turner. In fact the India’s did well with the spinner scalping 8 English wickets. Adding more misery, Ben Stokes wasted all 3 of his DRS calls within 80 minutes, meaning England are in Dire Straits.

“Yashasvi went on to hammer these bowlers. They gave just 2 overs to Mark Wood and wasted all their DRS. I haven’t seen much where the team lost all 10 wickets and then squandered all their DRS. England is in dire straits,” Chopra concluded.
