Offline tickets for the upcoming cricket 2nd IND vs ENG Test at Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy Stadium will be available in the city starting from January 26. The Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) secretary, S.R. Gopinath Reddy, announced the arrangement of special counters at two locations – Swarna Bharathi Indoor Stadium (until February 1) and Dr. YS Rajasekhara Reddy Stadium (until February 6) – for the ticket sales.
These counters will operate from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., providing a convenient offline option for cricket fans. Meanwhile, online ticket sales for the Test match commenced on January 15.
To ensure broader accessibility, the ACA has introduced four ticket categories: ₹100 per day and ₹400 for the entire five-day match, ₹200 per day and ₹800 for the entire five-day match, ₹300 per day and ₹1,000 for the entire five-day match, and ₹500 per day and ₹1,500 for the entire five-day match.
Additionally, in a commendable move, the ACA will facilitate free entry for 2,000 students into the stadium. However, students must present valid identity cards to avail themselves of this opportunity.
In a related context, the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) had decided to exclusively sell tickets online for the 1st IND vs ENG Test. This proactive measure aimed to curb black-market sales, ensuring a fair and transparent ticketing process for cricket enthusiasts.
The decision came in response to a regrettable incident during the ODI World Cup 2023, where tickets were illegally sold on the black market, causing concern within the cricket community.
