U19 World Cup: Murugan Abhishek takes a stunner to send McNally back to pavilion

Murugan Abhishek put the cherry on top of India's dominating performance with a fantastic catch to pile on the Irish misery.

Indian all-rounder Murugan Abhishek on Thursday pulled off a fantastic catch during India’s second Group stage game against Ireland to send John McNally on his way to the pavillion. India dominated Ireland to book their place in the Super Six of the competition, and Murugan contributed to India’s success with a stunner to dash the Irish hopes.

Ireland kept losing wickets while chasing the steep target. However, Murugan Abhishek put the cherry on top of India’s dominating performance with a fantastic catch. Murugan was fielding at short cover when Dhanush Gowda came to bowl. John McNally played a powerful shot which was travelling at force.

The ball was short and a bit wide outside off, as McNally looked to slash at it. Murugan dived full stretch to his left to grab the forceful hit as India rejoiced Dhanush Gowda’s first wicket of the match.
