The Indian football team returned home after yet another underwhelming performance. Failing to score even a single goal in their three matches, the Blue Tigers were knocked out of the AFC Asian Cup 2023 in the group stage itself.
Situated in Group B alongside Australia, Uzbekistan, and Syria, the Sunil Chhetri-led Indian Football Team conceded six goals, ending with zero points and disappointing fans.

As per The Bridge, not just fans, but AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey isn’t happy with Igor Stimac either. Apparently, the two main men of Indian football haven’t been on talking terms since the SAFF Championship last year.
As per the unnamed AIFF source, not only Stimac but the AIFF President might even be unhappy with some players. Chaubey also refused to talk to the Indian football team before they traveled to Doha for the AFC Asian Cup 2023.
“The Indian head coach Igor Stimac and AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey are not on talking terms since the SAFF Championship last year. The president also didn’t talk to the players before the Asian Cup,” a source close to AIFF revealed.
