Former England spinner Monty Panesar has given a warning to England Cricket team ahead of the IND vs ENG 1st Test. Panesar had said that the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma can be a dangerous player for the visitors. The IND vs ENG 1st Test is to begin on January 25 (Thursday) at the Hyderabad Cricket Stadium.
“Rohit Sharma will be most dangerous, he has a good strike rate & can take risks, for India it’s important that Rohit start well,” said Monty Panesar in a conversation with Sports Hour.
Don Bradman of turning wickets: Monty on Rohit
Earlier, Monty Panesar praised Rohit Sharma and said that he is the Don Bradman of wickets that are spinning. According to Panesar, England’s chances of winning the Test series hinge on dismissing Rohit early in each innings.
“The key man for India is going to be Rohit Sharma. He’s the Don Bradman of turning pitches. His record is unbelievable. England have to get Rohit out early right through to have a chance of winning the Test series. If England can keep Rohit quiet, India will be going to Plan B. You then put the younger batters under pressure. That is going to be key,” Panesar said.
