India pacer Mohammed Siraj is set to play IND vs ENG 1st Test in front of his home crowd in Hyderabad on Thursday, January 25. Ahead of the opening Test, an emotional Siraj remembered his late father and revealed that it was his father’s dream to see him play for India.
“I lost my father before by Test debut in Australia. That was the most difficult phase for me. But I thought that it was my father’s dream to play for India & I should fulfill my father’s dream”, Siraj said on JioCinema.
Siraj’s father had passed away in 2020, just a week after the Indian team landed in Australia for the all-format tour.
