Pat Cummins opens up on Glenn Maxwell incident, says ‘he was not with the cricket team’

While there aren't a lot of details available about the Glenn Maxwell incident, skipper Pat Cummins has expressed his views on it.

The ‘bar incident’ involving Australia all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has shocked one and all in the cricketing fraternity, with a lot of questions still remaining unanswered. For now, Cricket Australia is currently investigating the entire matter, with no real updates as of now.

The incident occurred just a few hours after Maxwell was withdrawn from the Australia ODI squad, against the West Indies, citing workload management. But the timing of the two looks like a coincidence for now. Australia skipper Pat Cummins made his opinion known, on the entire matter.

“We’re all adults, been part of night outings, you have got to make your own decisions. I suppose in this actual incident, he was obviously not on tour with the Australians, he was over there for a private event, he was not with the cricket team. So, it is a little bit different,” Cummins said at a press conference, quoted as saying by Sportskeeda.

“Absolutely any decision that you make, you have got to own it and be comfortable with it.”
