Tendulkar to PT Usha: Athletes who attended the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha

Out of the 18 invited cricketers, only six came, while Olympic medalists Leander Paes and Neeraj Chopra weren't to be found either.

With the whole of India preparing for the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha, many athletes took part in the celebration of the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.

Athletes from every sport were invited to the auspicious event on Monday, January 22, but only a few could be in attendance for the historic moment. Here is the list of athletes that attended the consecration:

Athletes who attended the Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha in Ayodhya

More than two dozen athletes were invited for the Pran Pratishtha but only a handful were present for it. Among the athletes who missed it were star cricketers Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra, and Indian tennis legend Leander Paes.

Only eight of the invited athletes were present in Ayodhya. India all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was the only active athlete there, while retired legends Sachin Tendulkar, PT Usha, Anil Kumble, and Mithali Raj were also present.
