The India U19 Cricket Team began their World Cup journey with a dominating win over Bangladesh. The boys in Blue then went on to rake up a 201 run win against Ireland in their second match. With this win, India U19 team have secured their spot in the Top 6 round of the competition.
India vs Ireland Highlights
India dominated Ireland to clinch a strong win over the Irish side. Musheer Khan, the brother of Sarfaraz Khan slammed a 118 run stand along with Uday Saharan’s 75 run helped India post a massive total of 301 runs on the board. In return, Ireland were bowled out for 100 runs, with Naman Tiwari scalping 4 and Saumy Pandey taking 3 wickets each.
India vs Bangladesh Highlights
Uday Saharan guided his side to a comfortable win against Bangladesh. India batted first and went on to score 251/7 after 50 overs. Opener Adarsh Singh scored 76 followed by skipper Saharan’s knock of 64 runs down the order. In reply, Bangladesh were bowled out 167 with Saumy Pandey scalping a four-fer.
With 2 wins from 2 games, India have secured their spot in the top 6 stage of the tournament. India will now hope for yet another win in their last group stage clash against USA.
