Team Tamil Nadu got a major boost ahead of their third round Ranji Trophy clash against Railways, as all-rounder Washington Sundar is all set to join the squad for the clash, beginning January 19. Sundar was part of the Indian team that won the T20I series against Afghanistan on Wednesday, and could be an asset for the team that is struggling at the moment.
Tamil Nadu lost their first match against Gujarat by 111 runs, while they could only secure a draw against Tripura in the second. Unfortunately, the encounter against Tripura was a rain-marred one and could not be completed. TN could only post 143/2, when the match ended after days of rain in Agartala.
