Virat Kohli’s golden milestone of becoming the first Indian batter to cross 12000 T20 runs have to wait. With just 6 runs short of the milestone, Kohli has a wonderful opportunity to go for the record. But alas! King Kohli went for a big shot on his first ball. The ball didn’t carry and he had to depart for a Golden Duck.
Well it seems that the duck bug has struck the India Cricket Team. For the first two matches it was Rohit Sharma who departed for Silver and Golden Duck respectively. Now it was the turn of Virat Kohli.
Virat Kohli returned to the shortest format of the game after a span of 14 months in the previous game. He managed to score a quick firing knock of 29 runs. The same it not better was expected in the IND vs AFG 3rd T20I, especially when Yashasvi Jaiswal departed early.
But Kohli, going for the aggressive approach much like the previous game went for a big shot on his first ball. The ball hit the upper end of the bat and took the ariel route. Rather than going the distance it went high up, only for Ibrahim Zadran to take a fine catch as Fareed Ahmad continues to celebrate his prized wicket.
