Finally some good news for Cricket fans in England. With less than 9 days remaining ahead of the IND vs ENG Test series, England has finally got a broadcaster for the series. TNT Sports have taken the deal to broadcast the series at the eleventh hour of the series.
While initial reports suggested that the TV rights could have gone unsold. Following which there were reports that the tournament could be made free-to-air for the fans. But now TNT Sports have won the rights to broadcast the series in UK.
Back in 2021 a similar situation arose. At the dying minutes before the start of the series, Channel 4 took the rights to broadcast the series.
As per reports in UK, TNT Sports will likely take the world feed of broadcast and form their own commentary team. Reports further state that former captains like Eoin Morgan and Kevin Pietersen is expected to take commentary duties for the first 2 IND vs ENG Test matches.
TNT Sports were deemed as the top broadcaster to win the bidding for the series. However, the sports heavy channel wasn’t too keen. However, they decided to step in at the last moment to secure the deal. On the other hand, in UK Talksport is the official radio broadcasters for the series.
