MS Dhoni faces defamation suit for contract breach, know more

former Business partner files defamation case against MS Dhoni for making false allegations

A defamation case has been filed against for India Cricket Team skipper MS Dhoni. Dhoni’s former business partner Mihir Diwakar and Diwakar’s wife Soumya Das has filed the complaint in Delhi High Court. Diwakar has claimed that Dhoni and his associates have made allegations that Dhoni has been duped of Rs 15 crore.

Previously Dhoni has filed a defamation case against Diwakar that their contract was not honoured. As a result Cricket academies in India and across the globe has not been built. Now, in a turn of events, Diwakar has filed charges against Dhoni for wrong allegations.

MS Dhoni’s associates issued a press conference earlier in January where they claimed Diwakar of defamation. Now before the court both Diwakar and Das has claimed that they can’t any substance of claims by Dhoni.

In a bid to stop Dhoni from making false allegations, the duo has filed a case against the former India skipper.

Controversy Galore

Back in 2017, Dhoni had filed a criminal case in Ranchi. MS Dhoni claimed a breach of contract by Mihir Diwakar for using his names in cricket academies like – ‘MS Dhoni Cricket Academy’, ‘MS Dhoni Sports Academy’ or ‘MS Dhoni Sports Complex’.

Dhoni further claimed that even after him revoking the contract Mihir continued to use his name in the building and running the sports complexes.
