Afghanistan batter Gulbadin Naib on Sunday took the attack to the opposition in the IND vs AFG 2nd T20I. Gulbadin, batting at number 3, produced a magnificent innings to score a fighting half-century against a formidable Indian bowling line up.

The Afghan batter came into bat after Afghanistan lost wicketkeeper-batter Rahmanullah Gurbaz. The Afghans needed some quick runs to keep their momentum going, Although the Afghans lost two more wickets quickly, Gulbadin carried on with his attacking stroke play to ensure Afghanistan were on course to a big total.
Gulbadin picked his scoring shots very carefully, hitting any ball that was pitched up or short. His constant onslaught ensured Afghanistan kept their run rate up even as they kept losing wickets from the other end.
He brought up his fifty of just 28 balls. His innings was studded with five 4s and four 6s. He ultimately fell prey to Axar Patel. The batter tried to pull a good length ball but ended up pulling the ball straight a short mid wicket to conclude his innings.
