Antum Naqvi created a mighty record as he broke Zimbabwe first class record. The 24 year old batter went on to hammer 300 runs from just 295 balls to create a huge milestone. With this majestic innings, Antum Naqvi now has broken Zimbabwe’s domestic first class record.
The young batter has scripted his name into the history books. This is the highest total score by an individual batter in Zimbabwe’s domestic first-class circuit.
The previous highest was set back in 2017 by Cephas Zhuwao when he went on to slam a stunning knock of 265 runs. But Antum Naqvi went a touch beyond. He took only 295 balls to hit his triple hundred.
The milestone took place in the Logan Cup fixture which is a four-day match tournament. Antum Naqvi who plays for Mid West Rhino clubbed 30 boundaries and 10 over boundaries to reach his milestone. He unleashed his carnage against Matabeleland Tuskers.
Naqvi has spent most of his life in Australia. However he is born in Belgium and has arrived in Zimbabwe just a year ago.
