Former West Indies cricketer Clive Lloyd has shut down all the comparisons between Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and West Indies legend Sir Vivian Richards.
During an interaction with the media after receiving the Lifetime Achievement award from Adamas University of Kolkata, Lloyd said, “Virat Kohli and Viv Richards are two different types of cricketers. So, there is no comparison. Virat will play cricket for a long time.“
Lloyd also backed the star Indian cricketer to break Sachin Tendulkar’s 100 century record.

“He [Virat] can achieve many things. He can also achieve the feat of Sachin Tendulkar. He has that capability and has time in his hand“, the 2-time World Cup winning captain added.
Currently, Kohli has 80 international centuries, 29 in Tests, 50 in ODIs and 1 in T20Is. The 35-year-old need 21 more tons to breach Sachin’s record.
