Cricketers can indeed be the all-rounders to impress their fans. Cricketers are multi-talented and we have seen over the years that they love to indulge themselves in other activities apart from cricket. The most common is the love for music. Whenever, they get time, the music is their favorite leisure time. From listening songs to singing their favorite ones, the music has always been an important for the cricketers. However, there are few who have gone one step ahead in this field.

Here, we look at 15 International cricketers with musical talents :

1. Sachin Tendulkar:Sachin Tendulkar is the one of the cricket stars to transfer his talent to the music industry, releasing a single that seems sure to soar in India.sachin has teamed with Indian singer Sonu Nigam to produce the catchy Cricket Wali Beat.”I am glad to be part of Sachin’s new innings,” Sonu said as the track was released.

2. Dwayne Bravo:Dwayne Bravo is the most accomplished singer in the world of cricket and there is no one who is even near to him. His recent hit ‘Champion’ was the song of the tournament for the West Indies team during the last edition of the T20 World Cup. He has also released song with Beanniie Man and another solo titled Go Gyal Go. He teamed up with Nisha B in the year 2015 for the song Chalo Chalo. Bravo also sang “Yenda” a film titled Ula, which was released in Chennai.

3 .Brett Lee:Lee is part of the rock band Six & Out. The band is made up of his brother Shane and former New South Wales cricketers Brad McNamara, Gavin Robertson and Richard Chee Quee. Lee plays the bass guitar or acoustic guitar for the band. During the 2006 ICC Champions Trophy in India, Lee wrote the lyrics for You’re the One For Me and recorded it with Indian singer Asha Bhosle. The song reached a peak position of number two on the Indian and South African charts.

4. MS Dhoni: Mahendra Singh Dhoni an Indian international cricketer who captained the Indian national team in limited-overs formats from 2007 to 2016 and in Test cricket from 2008 to 2014. He is the only captain in the history of Cricket to win all ICC trophies.
5. Shane Watson:Former Australia all-rounder Shane Watson has shown he is pitch perfect both on and off the field.

6. Virender Sehwag: Sehwag, who is an avid music lover,played as an aggressive right-handed opening batsman and also bowled part-time right-arm off-spin. He played his first One Day International in 1999 and joined the Indian test side in 2001

 

7. Irfan Pathan:Indian former cricketer who played all formats of the game. He was a bowling all rounder. He was a member of the India team that won the 2007 ICC World Twenty20.
8. Shoaib Akhtar :Shoaib Akhtar is a Pakistani cricket commentator, YouTuber, and former cricketer who played … had slapped former coach Bob Woolmer following a fight over the music to be played in the team bus on the eve of ICC Champions Trophy.

9.Sanjay Manjrekar:Former Indian batsman Sanjay Manjrekar had confessed in an interview about his penchant for Bengali music. Post retirement, Manjrekar had no hesitation in taking the microphone in his hand and landed a few playback singing contracts for Bengali movies.It was Sanjay Kanhade, a sports journalist, who inspired Manjrekar to record an album after his retirement. He eventually released an album titled ‘Restday’ in which he sang all the favourite songs of the team and it was Javagal Srinath who helped him in getting the playlist right.


10.AB de Villiers:AB de Villiers is a gifted musician too. His singing credentials, to go with his multi-talented sports skills, have earned him a lot of fans too. AB has performed at the annual ICC awards night too.AB released his debut song in collaboration with singer Ampie Du Preez in the year 2010. The song was titled ‘Maak Jou Drome Waar’ that means make your dreams come true and was big hit in his native land. AB, during his visit to India for IPL 9, also sang a melodious song for his wife and the video became a huge hit on the social media.

11 .Suresh Raina:stylish left-handed batsman Suresh Raina recently sang a melodious track for a Bollywood movie and marked his ‘debut’ in a new field altogether. The song was titled ‘Tu Mili Sab Mila’ and featured in the movie ‘Meeruthiya Gangsters’.The movie makers were close friends with the Indian batsman and asked him to sing the song. “My wife Priyanka is from Meerut and the Producer of this movie Shoeb Ahmed is a family friend of mine, a few days back he discussed his upcoming movie Meeruthiya Gangsters and insisted that I sing a song for it,” Raina had quoted.

12. Harbhajan Singh:The most successful off-spinner of India in the last decade, Harbhajan Singh, struck the chords of his fans not with his bowling but with an emotional album dedicated to his mother. The album named ‘Meri Maa’ was released in the year 2013 and featured Harbhajan Singh in the video.Harbhajan was out of the team at that point of time and had just made a comeback to the national side when the song was released. The song was widely appreciated and shot at locations in Punjab. Harbhajan’s love for his mother was evident in his heart touching song

13 .Mark Butcher:Former England middle-order batsman Mark Butcher has always had an inclination towards music since his childhood. It was way back in 2002 when Butcher sang a self-written song while playing the guitar at the funeral of his Surrey team-mate Ben Hollioake. Hollioake, the English cricketer, had died in an accident.
14. Omari Banks:Former West Indian player Omari Banks is a popular Anguillan musician. It was after 6 years of his retirement that he started his professional singing career and is now a reggae music star in the Caribbean.
15. Curtly Ambrose:Legendary West Indies pace bowler Curtly Ambrose had a spectacular career to boast of. But his love for music was an undying one. He performed as a bass guitarist for a reggae band for quite some time. He formed his own band along with former teammate and captain Richie Richardson.
