Rahul Dravid selfless and dedicated: Harbhajan Singh’s warm birthday wish

As Rahul Dravid, the current India cricket coach turned 51 on January 11, wishes poured in from the cricketing community

Harbhajan Singh wished Rahul Dravid with a warm message on X as the former India captain and current cricket coach turned 51 on January 11. Dravid is widely adored and respected not just for his stellar record with the bat for India but also for his reputation for being a thorough gentleman.

Harbhajan Singh’s wishes for Dravid

Rahul Dravid, who debuted for India in 1996, went on to play 164 Tests, 344 ODIs and 1 T20 International for India in a career spanning 15 years. Dravid finished with 13288 runs including 36 hundreds in Test cricket and amassed 10,889 runs in one-day internationals while scoring 31 in his only T20I.

Harbhajan Singh said Rahul Dravid is a role model for aspiring cricketers more than a decade after his international retirement because of his humility.

“Happy Birthday to the cricketing maestro, Rahul Dravid!  A stalwart of the game, your journey has been a testament to skill, patience, and unwavering commitment.

“Your selflessness, humility, and dedication have left an indelible mark, not just on the field, but as a role model for aspiring cricketers.

“Wishing you a great time ahead,” Harbhajan wrote on X.

Harbhajan Singh, one of the greatest off-spinners in the game, played 11 Tests under Rahul Dravid’s captaincy and picked 66 wickets (out of his total of 417)  in those matches.
