The Indian Women on Tuesday had plenty of reasons to be happy about as ICC updated its players rankings for Women. India saw quite a few upward movements in the latest rankings, with Deepti Sharma grabbing the limelight.

Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma, who picked up two wickets each in the last two T20Is, moved four places in ICC T20I bowlers’ rankings, climbing to the second spot with 723 rating points. The off-spinner toppled South Africa’s Nonkululeko Mlaba (722) courtesy of her consistent performances with the ball. Deepti also consolidated her position in the fourth place of T20s all-rounders’ list with a score of 30 in the INDW vs AUSW 2nd T20I.
On the batting front, Smriti Mandhana held her fourth place in the T20 rankings. Mandhana recently became the second Indian to score over 3000 runs in the T20 format. The batter also produced a fantastic half-century in the 1st T20I against the Aussies, further consolidating her spot in batters’ rankings.
Meanwhile Titas Sadhu, who had a four-wicket haul in the 2nd T20I, climbed 50 spots to move into the top 100 bowlers of the world with her 92nd rank.
