Will continue the hardwork: Mohammed Shami after receiving prestigious Arjuna Award

Mohammed Shami finished as the leading wicket-taker in the last concluded World Cup.

Express pacer Mohammed Shami on Tuesday (January 9) received the Arjuna Award from President Droupadi Murmu for his brilliant contribution to Indian cricket. Mohammed Shami, who had a stellar run in 2023. The right-arm pacer also finished as the top wicket-taker in the World Cup last year.

After receiving the award, Shami uploaded a post on his social media accounts paying gratitude to his friends, family and the Indian Cricket Board. The right-arm pacer also said that he will continue to do the hard work and make his country feel proud.

Today I am feeling very proud that I have been honored with the prestigious Arjuna Award by the President. I want to thank all those people who have helped me a lot to reach here and have always supported me in my ups and downs… thanks to My Coach, BCCI, teammates, my family, staff and big thanks to my fans. Thanks to recognise my hard work..I will always try to give my best to make my country proud. Again thanks to everyone. Congratulations to others arjun award winners,” Mohammed Shami wrote on his Instagram account.
