Young batter Yash Dhull has been sacked as Delhi skipper following team’s loss to Puducherry in Ranji Trophy opener on Monday.
Senior batter Himmat Singh has been named new skipper for the remainder of the season.
Notably, seven-time Ranji winner Delhi suffered an embarassing loss against Pondicherry on Monday at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

After being put to bat, Delhi were bundled out for 148 in the first innings. Pacer Gaurav Yadav was the wrecker in chief with a 7-wicket haul.
Paras Ratnaparkhe (60) and Krishna Pandey (44) then played crucial innings to give Pondicherry a 96-run lead.
Delhi in reply, were bowled out for 145, setting a mere 49-run target. Pondicherry chased it down comfortably and raced away to a nine-wicket victory.
