India vs South Africa: Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah picked up 15 wickets in all in the Cape Town Test.

It was largely due to the efforts of Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah, who with their six-wicket hauls in both the innings of the second India vs South Africa Test at Cape Town, deflated the home side. Former India pacer S Sreesanth, who had also produced a match-winning performance in South Africa, back in 2006, said both Siraj and Bumrah had a definite plan, and that’s why the results came.

Talking on Star Sports, Sreesanth said, “If we look at the first Test, Bumrah was a bit shaky, but in the second he bowled good areas. The combination of Siraj and Bumrah worked as well, with Mohammed Shami being the only missing link. Hats off to these two, for the way they bowled.”

Talking about the difference in how the Indian bowlers bowled in the first and the second Test, Sreesanth said, “Siraj hit the right areas consistently. We saw that Virat Kohli also signaled to keep the ball up. The secret to doing well in South Africa is hitting the right areas consistently, and be patient.”
