“Once the rain is over, an umbrella becomes a burden to everyone. That’s how loyalty ends when benefits stop,” Pollard’s post read.
Notably, Mumbai Indians’ global Head of Cricket Mahela Jayawardene had earlier said that the decision to swap Rohit for Hardik was emotional, but also necessary for the team’s future. “It was a tough decision. It was emotional, to be honest. It’s fair on the fans as well (to react). I think everyone is emotional and we have to respect that ass well. But at the same time, as a franchise, you have to make those decisions,” he said.
Speaking about Mumbai Indians, the franchise have undergone a massive transformation since Rohit Sharma was replaced as the captain of the team by Hardik Pandya ahead of the next edition of IPL. However, no member of MI has spoken about Rohit Sharma in this regard. In fact, statistics and numbers have proven Rohit Sharma to be the best captain of both the franchise and the IPL.
