Former Pakistan skipper Wasim Akram was a fierce competitor on the field, and is now doing his bit outside of it as well, slamming trolls on social media, for their unnecessary, nasty comments online. Recently, Akram shared a picture with his wife online, wishing everyone a happy new year, that started a mini online battle.
He captioned the picture, “Here’s hoping for a better year! Wishing you and your families all the love, safety and prosperity for 2024, all the best from my family to yours.” But soon, some users passed derogatory comments the lady. To this, Akram replied, “you think that’s the appropriate thing to say? I wish to meet your parents and tell them what have they created total douche.”
Not the First Time
During the T20 World Cup 2022, there were quite a few instances where Akram lost his cool on the fans. On one occasion, he was miffed on being asked a question on his absence during the 1996 WC semis against India. While speaking on ‘A Sports’, Akram lashed on the fan for asking this, and said, “never ever believe rumours”. He added, he had a lot of things to say to the one asking the question, but couldn’t, as he was on air.
