Was trying to avoid eye contact: Josh Hazlewood redeems himself with W 0 W 0 W 0 over

Josh Hazlewood redeemed himself with 4/9 after Australia collapsed with 10/5 runs but Aussie pacer redeemed himself in AUS vs PAK 3rd Test.

If the cricket fans are still trying to overcome 0/6 by India in Cape Town, Australia provided them with another moment. At home, Australia Cricket Team lost 5 wickets for 10 runs to be bowled out for 299 and concede first-inning lead in the AUS vs PAK 3rd Test. Josh Hazlewood was the one to fall last. At the end of Day 3 though, Hazlewood redeemed himself with three-wicket maiden to dismantle Pakistan.

At post-match, Josh Hazlewood looked at the funny side and told Adam Gilchrist on Fox that he was trying to avoid eye-contact with Pat Cummins.

“I was trying to avoid eye-contact with the skipper,” Josh Hazlewood said.

Josh Hazlewood redemption

All he had to do was remain on the crease with Mitchell Starc a little longer and surpass Pakistan’s first-innings total. But with Aamer Jamal bowling a fiery spell, Australia were bowled out for 299 runs, conceding the first-innings lead.

However, it was Hazlewood’s trun to take his revenge. In the penultimate over of the day, the Aussie pacer forced a Pakistan surrender.

W0W0W0: His three-wicket maiden over meant Pakistan were reduced to 67/7.

And Josh Hazlewood’s victims included Saud Shakeel once again apart from Sajid Khan and Agha Salman.

“I have had good luck with Shakeel in this series. On this wicket, we were attacking the stumps as much as Pakistan were doing. I have noticed in this game that when we are bowling with wobble seam, we were getting a lot out of the wicket. Starc kept it nice and full and was attacking, The best time of the day was when the ball got older, it’s falling apart but it’s doing quite a bit patchy in nature,” Josh Hazlewood said.

Pakistan ended the day 68/7 with an 82-run lead and as AUS vs PAK 3rd Test approaches Day 3, the result will be out. Josh Hazlewood ended the day with 4/9 and will eye a fifer on Saturday.

“It was quite loud during the wickets, it was quite amazing. Lead of 82, as you see the wicket, it’s quite tough. Anything around 130 would be ideal to chase. Rizwan is a dangerous player, hopefully we will see the back of him early tomorrow,” Hazlewood signed off.
