Following the conclusion of the IND vs SA Test series, Dean Elgar who was playing his last international match received a heartfelt gesture from the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. While Kohli presented his jersey after the game, Rohit handed Elgar a jersey signed by the squad during the presentation ceremony.
Meanwhile, team India scripted history as they went on to become the first Asian team to win a Test match in Cape Town. Team India defeated South Africa by 7 wickets in the second Test match as they also levelled the two-match Test series. In another record, the IND vs SA 2nd Test was the shortest match ever in terms of overs bowled. The game was completed in just 107 overs.
