IND vs SA 2nd Test: Dean Elgar pumped up after Aiden Markram hammers sensational Ton

Deal Elgar ecstatic as Aiden Markram dedicates Test ton to departing skipper

Dean Elgar might not have got a century on his last Test, but he was incredibly happy when Aiden Markram hammered a stunning ton. Waging a lone war for the Proteas, Markram braved all odds to go toe-to-toe with the Indians. But after Markram reached the three-digit mark, Elgar was ecstatic and was spotted applauding in a pumped up manner.

But the respect was mutual. Aiden Markram dedicated his century to Dean Elgar who is playing his last Test match for his country.

While the rest of the South Africa Cricket Team fumbled, only one man stood strong. Aiden Markram stood firm like a rock against India’s formidable pace attack.

The Proteas opener hammered a 106 runs from 103 balls, hitting 17 fours and 2 sixes to take the game to the opposition. After reaching the coveted three-digit mark, Markram raised his bat and pointed towards the dressing room, dedicating his century to Dean Elgar.

On the other hand, Dean Elgar was pumped up. He was spotted in an ecstatic mood seeing his batter braving all the odds to fight against India.

While Dean Elgar failed to get a century on his last Test, the century made by Markram will surely be a fine homage to the departing captain.
