In the Ranji Trophy 2023-24 edition, Samson will captain Kerala in the initial two fixtures, with Rohan Kunummal serving as his deputy. The team’s opening encounter is against Uttar Pradesh, followed by a match against Assam starting from January 12.
Fresh from his maiden international century, Samson aims to make a significant impact with the bat in the upcoming Ranji Trophy matches. The right-handed batter also has his sights set on securing a spot in the upcoming IND vs AFG T20I series next year.
Samson showcased his batting prowess in a remarkable century against South Africa in the series decider of the three-match ODI series at Boland Park in Paarl.
