South Africa Lowest Test Total: Proteas surrender to Siraj’s lethal spell for lowest total vs India

South Africa scored lowest total against India in the 2nd Test match at Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town.

South Africa surrendered to Mohammed Siraj’s lethal bowling spell as they were bundled out for 55 in the 1st innings of the 2nd Test in Cape Town.

The Proteas’ previous lowest total was 79 in 2015, when they played against India in Nagpur.

Siraj claimed his best bowling figures in Tests with six wickets in 9 overs, giving away 15 runs.

For the Proteas, David Bedingham and Kyle Verreynne were the only batters to reach double digits, scoring 12 and 15, respectively. Apart from them, none managed to cross the 10-run mark.

Jasprit Bumrah and Mukesh Kumar picked up two wickets each.
