David Warner says, ‘I haven’t found my caps’, as PM Albanese joins call to return baggy green

David Warner says, ‘I haven’t found my caps’, as PM Albanese joins call to return baggy green

In an emotional video on Tuesday, David Warner, playing his final Test at the SCG, had urged to return his baggy green cap.

David Warner’s plea to return his baggy green went in vain as the southpaw started the final Test of his career, in what looked like an alternate cap. This was despite the Australian PM Anthony Albanese joining the call to return his baggy green immediately. “I do hope if it hasn’t happened already, whoever knows anything about the missing hat (returns it soon),” he was quoted as saying by news.com.au.

“Dave Warner has represented Australia on more than 100 occasions, the baggy green hat belongs to him and it should be returned.” Meanwhile, Warner’s father Howard had slammed the culprit for the entire situation. “I haven’t heard anything this morning. His video went viral I know that much – everyone in Australia knows about the baggy green,” he said on SEN Radio.

“Whatever scumbag has taken it is going to have to lay it off very shortly. They’ll find it dumped somewhere.” Warner too had stated before the start of the match that, ‘I haven’t found my caps’. “As I said in my video, if you have got my backpack, I’ll give you my backpack, all I want is those baggy greens back, please.”
