New Zealand young all-rounder Rachin Ravindra has become a part of ‘Yellow Army’ after Chennai Super Kings (CSK) picked him in the latest Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction.
CSK fans have welcomed Rachin with open hearts. The left-handed batter encountered a fan when he walked out of a car, going for a practice session. The video of Rachin’s sweet gesture to a fan who requested an autograph on a poster made by him has gone viral on social media.
Rachin Ravindra was fetched by CSK in the IPL 2024 Auction at 1.8 crore. Rachin earned an IPL call-up after his brilliant performance in the ODI World Cup 2023 where he was one of the highest run scorers. He will make his IPL debut with the defending champion CSK in the leadership of MS Dhoni.
Rachin has played 18 T20I matches and scored 145 runs. He has also taken 11 wickets at an economy of 6.67 in T20I format.
The 24-year-old’s ODI average is even better. He averages over 40 in ODIs and has shown his prowess with the bat in the recently concluded ODI World Cup.
