PAK vs AUS 3rd Test: Imam-ul-Haq, Shaheen Afridi dropped, Pakistan unveil XI

Pakistan made two key changes to their playing XI for the 3rd PAK vs AUS Test set to commence on Jan 3 at the SCG

Pakistan unveiled their playing XI for the 3rd PAK vs AUS Test at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) set to commence from January 3. After a double drubbing at the hands of the hosts, Pakistan have dropped out of form opener Imam-ul-Haq, paving way for young Saim Ayub to make his Test debut. Sajid Khan has been included in the XI, as spinner Abrar Ahmed has failed to recover from his injury.

Australia stick to winning XI for SCG

Meanwhile, the hosts’ skipper Pat Cummins confirmed that they will go with the same playing XI as the previous two matches, in what will be David Warner’s farewell Test.

Cummins confirmed that Australia did not have any reason to tinker with the winning combination, and the team is raring to go in the final match of the series, as per Cricket.com.au. Even though the SCG has a bit of a reputation for turning more than the other Australian venues, it seems there isn’t any need to play an extra spinner, with everything working in their favour.
