Team India’s star players Virat Kohli and KL Rahul returned to training in team’s optional practice session at Newlands Stadium ahead of IND vs SA 2nd Test starting on January 3.
After opting for a break in Team India’s practice session in Centurion, The duo returned to the ground to prepare for the New Year’s Test.
Notably, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli were the lone fighters for the visitors in the Boxing Day Test in Centurion.
While KL Rahul scored a brilliant century in the first innings, Kohli’ 76 was the only silver lining in India’s horror second innings.
Kohli looked in great nick at the nets, negotiating the spinner and pacers with ease.

Pacer Avesh Khan, who has been included in the squad for the second Test, joined the squad at Newlands and took part in the preparations.
Meanwhile, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma, opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja, who took the part in India’s training session on Saturday, skipped the practice on the New Year’s Day.
