The South African batter Tony de Zorzi was rewarded for his outstanding performance as he signed a contract with Durban’s Super Giants for the upcoming SA20 which will start on 10 January.
With his maiden One Day International hundred, De Zorzi made headlines. In the second ODI match against number one ODI side India, De Zorzi smashed a stunning unbeaten 119 in Gqeberha.
De Zorzi will replace Kyle Abbott who has been ruled out due to injury.
De Zorzi has an incredible domestic record, having amassed over 3000 runs in both List A and First-Class cricket. Along with his First-Class triple century, he has also scored a T20 century, demonstrating his versatility with the bat.
De Zorzi will support Heinrich Klaasen and West Indies great Nicholas Pooran, who will both contribute intriguing hitting to the DSG middle order.
