Former England batter Joe Root turned 33 on December 30th, and his cricket academy released a throwback video to mark the occasion. A little Joe Root can be seen batting in the video, playing various shots.

Root Academy, started by Joe Root, on Saturday released a video wishing Joe Root a happy birthday. In the video, Joe Root can be seen wearing whites and batting with all his concentration. The talent that Joe Root possessed is unmistakable in the video too, with the batter playing a various range of shots such as drives, pulls and cut shot.
Root had been ever-present in the England team since making his debut. He made 11,416 runs in 135 Tests, scoring runs at an average of 50.29. Root has scored 30 centuries and 60 half-centuries for England, with his highest score being 254. He is England’s second highest scorer in Tests and 10th highest scorer overall in the longer format of the game.
Root is England’s all-time leading run-scorer. The right-handed batsman has played in 338 international matches for the national team and has scored 18,831 runs at an impressive 48.40 runs per innings, with 46 hundreds and 104 half-centuries. Root is ranked 14th among the highest run-getters of international cricket and has taken 93 wickets in all formats.
