Watch India grind in nets as Rohit Sharma and co gear up for IND vs SA 2nd Test

Witness the India Cricket Team's rigorous training in the nets as Rohit Sharma and the squad prepare themselves for the upcoming IND vs SA 2nd Test in Cape Town.

Following an embarrassing defeat in the Boxing Day Test at Centurion, the Men in Blue under the leadership of Rohit Sharma, engaged in an optional yet rigorous training session in Centurion as part of their preparations for the upcoming IND vs SA 2nd Test.

Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who had a disappointing performance both as a batter and captain, dedicated an extensive period to a batting session in the nets. During the two-hour training session, Rohit’s primary focus was on facing seamer Mukesh Kumar, with Mukesh exclusively bowling to him for at least 45 minutes. Simultaneously, Ravindra Jadeja showcased his bowling prowess, and Ravichandran Ashwin also bowled a number of deliveries.

Prasidh Krishna, after a forgettable Test debut with figures of 1/93, worked on refining his length with the guidance of bowling coach Paras Mhambrey. Youngster Yashasvi Jaiswal actively participated in the training as India aims to regain momentum.

Notably, star Indian batsman Virat Kohli, the standout performer for Team India in the second innings, opted to skip the optional session, along with Shubman Gill, Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul, and Mohammad Siraj.

India, still in pursuit of conquering the Final Frontier, endured an innings defeat in Centurion, further delaying their quest for a Test series win in South Africa. The second and final IND vs SA Test is slated to take place at Newlands Stadium, Cape Town, between January 3-7.
