Watch: Pat Cummins mocks Pakistan team director over bizarre “We played better” comments

Pakistan were handed another series defeat by Pat Cummins and his men on December 29 (Friday).

Australia skipper Pat Cummins took a dig at the Pakistan Cricket team director Mohammad Hafeez after he said that Shan Masood and Co. played better as a team. To note, Shan Masood and Co. were handed another series defeat by Pat Cummins and his men on December 29 (Friday).

We played better cricket as a team. I’m proud of that. The way the team had the courage to attack this game in the best possible way. If I sum up the game, the Pakistan team played better than the other team in general. Our batting intent was better, and while bowling, we were hitting the right areas,” Hafeez said earlier.

Yes, we made some mistakes that cost us the game but as a team I believe that there were a lot of positives, enough to win the game but unfortunately at the end we didn’t win the game,” he added.

Glad we got the win: Pat Cummins

Reacting on Hafeez’s statement, Cummins said, “Cool… [laughs]. Yeah, they played well. Glad we got the win.” On being insisted by the reporter to say something more, Cummins added, “Doesn’t really matter, does it? It’s the team that wins at the end.”

After securing the series, Pat Cummins and Co. will aim for a white-wash in the upcoming AUS vs PAK 3rd Test starting on January 3. The final match of the series will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
