Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has defended his bowlers despite poor show in IND vs SA 1st Test in Centurion on Thursday. Team India suffered an innings and 32 runs defeat on Day 3 of the Boxing Day Test.
The Indian pacers, including debutant Prasidh Krishna struggled to trouble the hosts on a pitch which was offering enough.
However, Rohit defended the bowling line-up stating that a lot of them were playing for the first time in South African conditions.
“Our bowlers, a lot of these guys haven’t been here before so I don’t want to be too critical”, Rohit said in the post-match presentation.
When asked about the positive takeaways from the game, the Indian skipper admitted that there weren’t many.
