Rohit Sharma joins MS Dhoni as only other Indian captain for shambolic record in IND vs SA Test

Rohit Sharma dismissed on a duck in Day 3 of the IND vs SA 1st Test in Centurion. He has registered himself in an unwanted record.

Rohit Sharma has joined MS Dhoni in an unwanted record on Day 3 of the IND vs SA 1st Test on Thursday. He has become the second Indian captain after Dhoni to be dismissed on a duck against South Africa in Test cricket.

India needed their captain to do some magic in an almost-lost 1st Test in Centurion. However, he was disappointed with his batting, going back to the pavilion without scoring a single run after getting bowled by his nemesis Kagiso Rabada in 3rd over.

Rabada has cleared-up Rohit seventh time in 11 innings. Rohit has a poor batting record against the lethal Proteas pacer.

In 2011, Dhoni became a target of Dale Steyn in the 3rd Test against the Proteas. He had gotten out on a duck in the second innings of the match.

In the match, India are struggling as four batters have gone back to the dressing room, reducing 72/4.
