Conman, Mrinank Singh has played a literal UNO Reverse. He has accused India cricketer and Delhi Capitals skipper Rishabh Pant for ‘False Allegations’. Reports claimed that Rishabh Pant is also a victim of the conman after being duped of a hefty sum. But the now accused, Mrinank Singh who has been arrested has blamed Pant for false allegations after their business venture failed.
Reports came that back in 2020-21, Singh duped Rishabh Pant for a sum of 1.6 crores. Apparently Singh posed as a businessman who bought and sold luxurious watches and jewellery. Pant trusted him and gave him his watches. In return, Singh gave Pant a 1.6 crore check which ultimately bounced.
However, now Mrinank Singh has been arrested by the Police. In an exclusive interview with India Today, he has claimed that he hasn’t duped Rishabh Pant. On the contrary, Pant’s accusations are false as the duo had a business venture that flopped.
“Rishabh Pant and me had a business together. We started a venture together that failed very badly. After that Rishabh Pant wanted some interest money which I couldn’t pay. This legal battle waged on for 3 years which I ultimately won,” said Mrinank Singh.
Mrinank Singh is a former U19 cricketer for Haryana. He used to posed as a former Mumbai Indians IPL player and duped his victims.
“On Monday, while he was trying to catch a flight to Hong Kong, immigration officials detained him and handed him to us,” said Additional DCP Ravikant Kumar.
