Pakistan made a great start to the second innings of the AUS vs PAK 2nd Test as Mir Hamza fired things up at the MCG. Hamza dismissed David Warner and Travis Head on consecutive deliveries as Australia slipped to 16 for 4 in a chaotic couple of hours at the MCG on Day 3.

Pakistan gave Australia a tough challenge in the second innings of the Boxing Day Test as their pacers wreaked havoc against the much-celebrated batting lineup in Melbourne. After wrapping up Shan Masood’s side for 264, the Aussies took a 54-run lead, but the Pakistan pace contingent helped their team storm back into the match.
Led by Shaheen Afridi and Mir Hamza, the visitors put the hosts in deep trouble with quick wickets in the second innings. Hamza accounted for two of the first four dismissals, which included some ‘genius’ deliveries. Playing only his fourth Test, the 31-year-old Hamza scalped David Warner and Travis Head with sensational deliveries.
Mir Hamza announced himself as he got David Warner out with a short delivery and then bowled an excellent one right after. Hamza, coming from over the wicket, used both swing and seam perfectly as he threaded a rather unplayable in-swinger.
Head looked inexperienced on his first delivery, pitched just outside off, completely missing the ball that hit the middle stumps. Hamza had a chance for a hat trick, but Mitchell Marsh didn’t fall for his harmless delivery outside the off-stump.
