Rohit suffers injury scare, Bumrah, Kohli lead India in his absence in IND vs SA 1st Test

Indian skipper Rohit Sharma suffered an injury scare during Day 2 of the IND vs SA 1st Test at Centurion on Wednesday. The 36-year-old sustained an injury while diving to save a boundary before the tea break.

The Indian skipper sustained an injury to his elbow and did not return for the first three overs after tea. Former Indian skipper Virat Kohli led the team hurdle before the start of final session, while vice-captain Jasprit Bumrah took charge for three overs before Rohit returned to the field.

Talking about the game, South Africa are in command after century from opener Dean Elgar. The hosts are nearing India’s total with only three wickets down. Elgar and David Bedingham have stitched over 100 runs partnership and are going strongly. Earlier, KL Rahul slammed a brilliant 101 to help India post 245.
