The Bangladesh cricket team has no quit in them. After a drubbing in the first two matches of the Bangladesh tour of New Zealand, the visitors have roared back in fashion. Building on their 3rd ODI win momentum, they have downed the Kiwis at their home in the NZ vs BAN 1st T20I in Napier.
Shoriful, Mahedi & Mustafizur steal the show
Mahedi Hasan gave Bangladesh the perfect start, picking up Tim Seifert in the very first over. However, Shoriful Islam one-upped him, cleaning Finn Allen and Glenn Phillips in the second over. After losing three wickets for just one run, the Kiwis looked down and out.
To make things worse, Mahedi dismissed Daryl Mitchell, and New Zealand was 20-4. Despite fightbacks by James Neesham and Mitchell Santner, New Zealand managed to score just 134 in their 20 overs.
Mustafizur Rahman cleaned up Neeshan and Tim Southee to ensure the Kiwis didn’t take the upper hand at the end of the first inning.
