The Indian Cricket Team faces one of their toughest challenges. The Final Frontier lies in front of them as Rohit Sharma and Co look to break a 31 year jinx. India have never won a Test series in the Rainbow nation but this time the dominant duo of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will look to settle the score.
The duo make a comeback to the Indian Cricket Team after the ODI World Cup final debacle. Team India are high in confidence but the main responsibility will be the shoulders of Rohit and Kohli as India aims to overpower the Proteas.
India will not go easy on the hosts at all costs. India tops the WTC standings and will not spare an opportunity to take an unassailable lead and establish their dominance in red ball cricket.
Though Rohit and Kohli returns, eyes will also be on a pair of youngsters who will be keen to prove their worth in red ball cricket. Yashasvi Jaiswal is set to open proceedings while Shardul Thakur will operate as the 4th pacer in the side. KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer will bolster the middle order as the duo mark a return to Test cricket after 10 months.
Things are a bit different for the Proteas. Temba Bavuma returns to the team while the spotlight will be on Dean Elgar playing his last Test series and youngster Tony de Zorzi who showed deft touch in the ODI series. A powerful pace unit of Kasgiso Rabada, Lungi Lgidi, Nandre Burger, Gerlad Coetzee and others will look to rattle the Indian batters.
