In his first press conference since the heartbreaking World Cup Final loss, Indian head coach Rahul Dravid wasn’t too keen to answer questions on the topic. The head coach was already asked once about that loss ahead of the IND vs SA Test series and pushed it aside, saying, “We have moved on.” However, Dravid was asked the question once again and didn’t seem impressed by it.
A journalist at the press conference asked him, “If you want to just forget the World Cup (final), the disappointment, you can move on…” Even before the journalist could finish the question, Dravid cut him off. It was visible that the usually calm and collected customer in Dravid was irked by the persistent questions about the World Cup loss.
However, he replied to the question, saying, “What’s happened, It’s happened in the past. You have to move on. It’s disappointing, but you have to move on. Now you have something else ahead of you (the IND vs SA Test series).
“You can’t let the disappointment of the past stay with you. If you let it stay with you too, it’ll affect your performance now.”
“I’m sure the guys are disappointed, but we’ve all moved on, and we have something ahead of us that we are looking at,” Rahul Dravid said while signing off.
