Sanju Samson completed his maiden century for India during the IND vs SA 3rd ODI on Thursday.

After a long wait, Sanju Samson finally stroked his maiden century in the international circuit. He achieved the feat during the IND vs SA 3rd ODI being played in Paarl. Meanwhile, the fans on the internet expressed their happiness after Samson completed his milestone. Check out some reactions:

During his knock, Sanju Samson faced 114 deliveries to score 108 runs which included six fours and three big maximums. The right-handed batter was scalped by Lizaad Williams during the death overs of the first innings.

Speaking about Samson’s overall numbers in the ODI format, the 29-year-old has played 16 games and amassed 510 runs at an excellent average of 56.67. Samson plays at a strike-rate of almost 100 and has hit three fifties and a century (today).

Speaking about the IND vs SA 3rd ODI, the home side won the toss and opted to have a bowl first. Debutant Rajat Patidar played a quick-fire cameo before being scalped by Nandre Burger. Unlike the first two matches, Sai Sudharshan failed to get going as Beuran Hendricks trapped him in front of the wickets. Skipper KL Rahul was scalped by Wiaan Mulder for 21 runs before Samson and Tilak took and formed a possible match-winning partnership for the Men in Blue.
