The ILT20 has brought forward numerous changes. The ILT20 have gone on to update their tournament rules. As per the new rules, slow over rates will be penalised. Like ILT20, all other leagues will also implement the same rules. The penalisation include in-match fielding penalties.
Among other rules, like the IPL, IPLT20 has also introduced super subs which is similar to impact subs in Indian Premier League (IPL). A cut off time has will be maintained throughout the match. If the bowling team, is behind by just an over then a total four players will be allowed inside the circle.
On the other hand, if the bowling team is 2 overs behind, then the penalty becomes more severe. In such a case just 3 players are allowed inside the 30-yard circle. Finally, if the team is three overs behind then the penalty is far more severe. In such a condition, three fielders will be allowed in the outfield apart from a 5% financial penalty.
The ICC has been very strict in terms of the slow over rates. And thus as a result have instructed strong laws and rules to be enforced in all major T20 leagues of the world. The brand new ILT20 is also no exception to this rule.
