The India Cricket Team faces a massive challenge in the upcoming IND vs SA 3rd ODI. With series on the line, the Men in Blue will be keen to avenge their brutal and humiliating series loss suffered in 2021-22. With everything to play for, India should go out will all guns blazing against the hosts.
India took a 1-0 lead in the ODI series with a thumping 8 wicket win the first ODI. But the Proteas came back strongly and went on to level the series in the 2nd ODI. Now with series on the line, India will need to win the game to avoid back to back ODI series loss in South Africa.
India’s 3-0 whitewash in 2021-22 ODI series is still fresh in the memory of the Indian fans. 2 years back, the Proteas completely annihilated the Men in Blue and sealed the series 3-0. India on the other hand, humiliated the hosts in 2017/18 to secure a comprehensive 5-1 win.
India’s performance in South Africa against the Proteas has been a rather mixed bag. They lost to the hosts back in 2013 and then again 2011 and in 2006-07.
