In a light-hearted moment, South African cricketer Tony de Zorzi couldn’t resist poking fun at his teammate Nandre Burger. The latter, on Tuesday secured a bumper Indian Premier League (IPL) deal with the Rajasthan Royals during the auction in Dubai.
Nandre Burger, a talented fast bowler, was bought by the Royals at his base price of INR 50 lakhs in a deal that thrilled the left-arm pacer. However, his roommate Tony de Zorzi didn’t miss the opportunity to jest about the windfall.
“He needs to use that money on the team because we helped him get there. I am also his room-mate on tour, so I am expecting something,” Tony de Zorzi playfully commented.
